Toshiba Tecra 8100

Hello,
I have a toshiba tecra 8100 and my laptop screen will not stay open.
Can someone please tell me what part i need, and where i can find it?
Also, is it a self-install, or am i gonna have to take it in.

There wil be a fault with your screen.

I suggest you either ruturn it or get a prffesinaol to fix it.

luke.. why reply to a post thats so old? ok you are generally right here so i give you that credit. the fault is actually a broken hinge and due to the fact that many a laptop hinge also contains miniscule wiring to light up the screen and provide power, it is most certainly NOT something to do yourself. this will need to be returned for repair or dropped in to a repairs centre.
