Question Problem installing MySql on Cygwin

  #1
Mar 3rd, 2008
Hi everyone,

I was trying to setup MySql with Cygwin so that i can create and work on databases using my Windows OS.
After gruesome hours of googling, I am still confused as to how to do that. I first downloaded the installer for MySql on windows. I also downloaded the source for MySql on linux.

But after doing this and that, I still haven't been able to get MySql up and running.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

PS: And if you are going to ask me that why I don't install the MySql server on windows intself, I want to use MySql and get myself accustomed to the bash shell environment
