D: drive vibrating?

my dell xps removable d drive is vibrating faily loudly. it didnt do it in the beggining, but once i have taken it out a couple of times it now vibrates. just wondering if this is a problem, and if it is, what i can do about it.

Does it still work? if not, you have broken the bakelite disk platter.

sorry to take forever to respond but i had some problems. anyway, the drive works now. aparently there was some internal thing and dell sent me a new one. thanks for your help though.
