Norton Internet Security problem. Please help!

Hi there,
In the last couple of days my Norton Internet Security 2007 has been playing some weird games and now it's not working at all. The program wont open at all so now I'm running my pc with no virusware. I believe it must be something elso on my computer that's affecting it but don't know where to start. Please help. I have tried to download HijackThis but my computer wont let me open this program either. I don't know what to do now as I'm only a novice. Please help me.

Norton is a complex animal. I'm not sure this is the best place to diagnose such issues.
I would recommend some sort of dedicated Norton Support:

Obviously, the sooner your AV is up and running, the better!
