I have Vista and XP Pro installed on one HD on my duel boot system. They have been working for one year without any problem but since last week Win XP will not boot. When I get to the bootloader screen i still have a choice of which system to load. Vista works fine but when i click on XP i just get a black screen. No error message, no activity on my hard drive, nothing. If I restart I can boot into Vista Home Premium and from there I can see all my XP folders and files.
I`ve tried chkdsk /p, chkdsk /r and system restore from the recovery console but to no avail. Can anyone help me here?

Sone thing went wrong with your boot INI file from inside vista, go into statrup and look at the boot ini file. see if the partition that XP is installed on is showing in the boo ini . or you can try using vista Boot pro
