...might not be my newest site (yet), but I would like some feedback on the site: http://www.throwaquestion.com
It's an 'answer all kinds of questions'-site with the intend of being as basic and easy to use as e.g. Google's frontpage.
I'm especially interested in design ideas, and how to actually get users to ask questions (which they don't really do right now). Most people just browse through and seem to think 'oh well, not for me', and I can't figure out why!
Cheers!

1. Poor Design.
2. Too basic (It's time for Web 2.0 Business).
3. Lot of reference site exist. Learn from them. AJAX is working miracles these days. Learn.
Very important when you are done with it. Go for search engine optimization. Promote.
Regards,
Ansari Samir.

It seems more like a chatroom with a lot of unorganized questions that people can answer. There is no search facility to look for specific topics or questions, or a search faciltiy to find all the questions that I have posted. In order to find the responses to my question I would have to search through all the questions sequentially which could be very time consuming. I don't think very many people will be willing to take the time to do that.
Are you going to tell us how to do that or do we have to play 20-questions and quess ??
And you need a "Contact Us" link to ask admins a question we don't want to become public.

Wow, awsome!
The website looks MUCH MUCH MUCH better!
Congratulations!
However, the only problem i have with the site now, is that there is too much blue.
Try adding a grayish background, behind the texts.
For example, when you click on the Mysteries link, there are a series of questions right?
You could add a grayish rectangle background behind the list, and live everywhere else blue, as it is.
If you want to compete against www.answers.yahoo.com, than the site needs to be perfect. Trust me

I don't know what it used to look like, but I would really use a white background. It makes it look a lot cleaner.

Thanks Hervens!
I'll take a good look at that color...
For now I have just replaced all the blue background with grey. It's not good yet but it IS better than all the blue
Hmm, actually it looked better with the blue background. What I'd recommend doing right now is making the content area's background white, while leaving the sides gray. This improves readability, and like Dani said, makes it look cleaner.
