I had a linksys router with the software and couldn't connect. Go to the linksys site and use their tools to install/repair @

I downloaded new firmware for my router and that didnt seem to help. Then I downloaded a driver for my laptops wireless and am using Intel PROwireless to manage my wifi and connect to wireless. it seems to work a bit better, it says I am connected but also sometimes says a "there is a problem with the connection". The internet has not DCed yet though while just searching on the internet like it did.

the problem just says "You are connected to a network that is not configured with security and there are shared folders detected in your system" so for now things seem to be working fine. thanks to all for your help!
