For whatever you want.

It works extremely well for things like hit counters and authentication checks, though.

and in web services stacks for preprocessing the incoming SOAP message headers, a requirement of the specification.
As people are clearly allowed to attack me but I'm not allowed to defend myself, I no longer post to this site.
