I am developing a new idea for a social networking website similar to that of facebook and myspace. Now I know what everyone reading this post is saying..."i've heard that before." But hear me out. I am part of a HUGE offline network of people that have gone unexplored by the online social network companies such as facebook and myspace. My idea, has the potential to be very successful if the right course of action is taken.

I have already spoke to my company's website guru about the idea, and he believes it is a literal "gold mine." The only reason why I am on this forum, and not working with him, is because he is not fluent enough with databases and computer science to make a website of this magnitude successful.
