When i click to open Paint some error comes up telling me that it has performed and illegal operation......

Have you checked for viruses lately? It's possible that a virus has infected MFC.dll, or something.

If you don't find any viruses ,I would try this ,go to control panel , add & remove programs /,add & remove windows components ,accessories and uncheck paint if it checked ,ok you way out then go back in and reinstall paint .

I have check for viruses, with AntiVir, and nothing showed up..

I did what you told me,caperjack, and it does the same thing..
