how would you mod boot.ini to boot linux
![]() |
i had problems installing linux and the boot loader would not show up so i ran the xpcd and had to install xp over the linux boot loader. So i still have linux on my pc and dont have a way to get it off (i.e partition manager) and i want to use it so would i be able to modify the boot.ini to load linux and windows. I know you can do it for other window's OSes but can you do it for a unix OS.

Hi M&I,
I don't know off hand, but you CAN create a linux boot floppy to get you up and running. I did that on a dual boot Windows/Linux system before.

This used to have instructions for doing what you're asking; I don't know if it does anymore:
