Hi all,
Could I get your expert hosting advice please. I am currently hosting a few domains using a website builder which is super easy to use. I want to move a couple of the sites to a hosting company, for more flexibility, but I'm looking for a hosting company which is easy to use (and affordable). I just want to be able to easily upload my sites via FTP and the company I'm currently testing out, I'm having a hard time with it... I have the ability to have 2 domains and 5 subdomains, and I used Cpanel to create them but I can't seem to upload the files properly.

What should I be looking for? Do I need to pay extra money to have someone upload my pages? or is there any hosting company that has clear instructions and tutorials on how to upload and manage my own websites...
Thanks so much for your kind reply,
Victoria

goto remnetworks.com for affordable cpanel hosting with ftp, php, mysyql, and cgi tools support (like free forums that easily install). it is good hosting my site is on a different plan than the one you buy that is what i got when the owner offered subdomains. the cheapest plan is 100mb of space and 5gb of transfer.

Thanks so much for the info! I did check out the page, but didn't find too many postings in their forum. I did find another site with tutorials... full and complete visual tutorials!! I don't know if I'm allowed to post the site...
If anyone needs the info, let me know.

Victoria

Most companies now will have flash tutorials which is basically a movie walkthrough that you can pause and play as you wish. Also hosting companies with no posts in their forums is not a bad thing. It could be a new feature. Our forum is only a few weeks old and has almost no posts. This is because we service mostly professional buisnesses that have more important things to do then post. We have over 1000 customers so we put the forum there just in case someone wants to use it.

Good luck with your search.

Hi, err Vivaci.net do cheap hosting and its very simple to use.
There is this fantastico thing where you can simply click a couple of times in the cPanel and it installs any of a miriad of programs and scripts, from osCommerce stores to phpBB and even guest books, shopping carts etc etc.
The list goes on.
If you select a hosting package and click the fantastico link on it, it lists em all with links to the packages vailable so u can read up a bit.
There is also this groovy live support system accessible from both the contact page (sales and support) and within a users cPanel (support).

Well worth a look, specially for those new to these things, that Fantastico thing makes script installation easy peasy. No messing with databases, it does it all for you.
