I am getting an "unsupported format" when trying to play a DVD.
I have upgraded the firmware and codec's but the system will not see a title in the drive.
I can however play dvd's I have made prior to my upgrade to 64 bit and other video formats play as well.

SOLVED!!
When all else fails try another drive.
I don't know why but using a different external drive seemed to do the trick, but I find it odd that it would read at all if it were non functional? hmmm time for a little surgery.
