Sysdate check

Hi,

I can not use below code in stored proc in oracle;

IF (SYSDATE = '04-MAY-08') THEN
...
END IF;

This doesn't work either way (true or false).

Is there any other way to check it?

USE trunc(sysdate) INSTEAD
