IBM T750 Monitor 6657-HGO

I checked a number of monitor posts and did not find one with this issue.

I am considering buying a computer screen for my 6 year old son. I found an inexpensive one with the following issue: screen turns on but turns black after a few minutes. When changing the screen resolution, it sometimes brings the display back. Does this sound like something easy to fix, or should I move along to another offer?
