This has only started recently but whenever i start up my computer the explorer bar takes for ages to load. If i go into task manager under the processes tab it says the explorer is using up to 90 % of the CPU.
How can i stop this happening?

If your not living on the edge, then your taking up too much room.
Hello Crow. As I mentioned in mcoletta's thread, some malware can inject itself directly into explorer.exe.

... In addition, there may be several DLL's appended to it that may also need to be removed. I recommend using Process Explorer to check, outlined in this web page that describes how to remove a particular malware that is injected within explorer.exe, but can be applied generically to any unwanted DLL's within explorer.exe.
