Equal partner wanted for non-FB/MySpace Web2.0 Business Launch
Hi,
I’m looking for a partner with the tech experience and knowledge to help build a Web 2.0 platform that will bring to life my idea. As a benchmark for the skill required, think the apps available on Ning.com.
What’s the current situation?
I’ve written a full and verified business plan – it’s been checked by a CEO of a leading AIM listed company; and initial funding is secured, mainly for purposed of marketing.
I now need a partner to bring it to life so we can start trading as a business.
Why is this so special?
2 reasons in particular:
* It’s instantly monetiseable with 3 strong revenue streams, unlike most community-based Web 2.0 venture that rely on either Ad revenue or nothing at all until they’re bought for the that purpose.
* Although the 3 streams of revenue will be built up lock-step, they are logically independent of each other once a critical mass has been reached. (i.e. they come from different customers). This makes it a more sustainable idea than those relying on just one customer.
About me
My experience is in new (ideas) business development, marketing, sales and management.
I am in full time employment at the moment but keen and eager to start out myself. From selling excess sports cards and lending tuck-shop money at interest as a kid I’ve had the ambition to make money for myself, not an employer!
On a non-business front I love sport, business, science/technology, films and reading.
I’m a pretty energetic person and very committed, trustworthy, creative but keen to get things done.
About who I’m looking for
The idea is for the partnership to be equal, and if it works out, other ideas are waiting in the wings too. Therefore I’m looking for somebody who shares my vision, passion and ethics.
You should be keen to strive out into the unknown, be resilient enough to take some set-backs and most of all, desperately want to be your own person.
You’ll understand no payment from me is offered, be all revenue and ownership will be equal. For the first few months of development etc. you’ll probably need to keep your job or work freelance on top of building the business, so you can’t be afraid of serious hard work and long hours!
Next Steps
I’m based in London, and to make this work I want to work with someone close so you should also be based here. If you want to know more about the idea and have already committed yourself to the idea of being an entrepreneur then get in touch and we’ll arrange a time to meet up on an evening or a weekend to see if we’re a good team.
Only trouble - I'm not sure how we make contact other than publicly on here, but if you know how, let me know!
Look forward to hearing from you.
Mark
