I get the dreaded local only message when i try to connect to various wireless routers and modes. On occasion i can connect to a router but it seems to be only a matter of time before i go "local."
Anyway i've scoured forums for a solution and the thread in this forum was easily the most informative one on the subject. But it still didn't offer a global solution and there probably isn't one. For me however i still haven't found any of the methods that i have tried in that thread or any others to work. I would post my ipconfig/all file but seeing as that i'm not on that computer and there seems to be zero way for me to get it to access the net i can't post it. But i would happily tell anyone who may have solutions what everything says.
dhcp: enabled
autoconfig: enabled
ipv4 address: 192.168.1.102(preferred)
subnet m: 255.255.255.0
if anybody has anything else they need information wise i'd happily offer it up. i really was starting to like vista but this is 100% totally unacceptable. please help i would probalby be forever indebted.
