Description:

The Role:

Work with the business on negotiating system requirements with a focus on streamlining the solution and reducing time to market. Help facilitate design and implementation to direct and constrain technical solutions to meet Product objectives. Enhance execution of project implementations and simplify the technical environment.
Responsibilities:

• Acquire technical and business knowledge about the Central Trade Manager ( CTM ) product including its interactions with other services within and outside the company’s product portfolio.

• Work with other architects and engineers to understand and improve/simplify the infrastructure underpinnings of CTM

• Provide estimation and risk assessment services on and across projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong software design and deep coding skills in Java, with technical competence of C++, on UNIX (Solaris and Linux) required.

• Knowledge of SQL and XML, data modeling,and web-tier design and implementation technologies desired. Familiarity with ORACLE environment helpful.

• Fundamentals of application architecture. Breadth of experience with strengths in application programming, database, security, operations, networking.

• Ability to analyze complex multi-dimensional requirements and map to technical architecture.

• Understanding of critical success factors for high uptime, high transaction rate implementations. ability to tune systems for performance and capacity

• Exposure to Web 2.0 a plus.

• Mature teamwork and leadership skills. Work comfortably with a wide variety of people both individually and in team settings and demonstrate the ability to collaborate, attain buy-in, mentor, influence, and facilitate.

• The ability to understand business direction and business priorities as well as technology issues. Experience in the financial industry is a major bonus; alternately the candidate will need to demonstrate outstanding ability to learn the Company’s business.

• Outstanding communication skills. The ability to tailor communication both to business and technical audiences
