using float, double numbers in mips assembly language

firstly hi everyone.
i made a calculator using mips assembly but it works with integer numbers. a normal calculator must be work with double or float numbers. i seek for it on the internet but i cant find how to use float double numbers in mips. finally i ask ,does anyone knows how to use them? please help... thanks

Another useful resource is the Programmed Introduction to MIPS Assembly Language. It has a couple chapters on Floating Point Data replete with important points and simple examples.
