Request for Quote: Coding Updated Theme for blogs.takepart.com

Goals
TakePart is requesting quotes from freelance CSS/PHP programmers to handle the implementation of a new design theme on our Wordpress-powered blog (http://blogs.takepart.com). Please note that this work on must begin immediately.

Key elements of the update will include:

• Coding Wordpress theme based on designs delivered by Participant
• Ensuring theme’s consistency across main page and sub pages
• Installing sIFR fonts into theme for font headers
• Integrating icons/layout of existing plugins (Digg, Twitter, RSS) into theme – see comp below
• Upgrading development and production environments to Wordpress version 2.5.1 (or most recent
stable release at time of delivery)

Our current site is running Wordpress version 2.3.1.

Payment
The project’s budget is negotiable. Payment will be remitted via check NET 30 upon receipt of final invoice.

Requirements
Participant will deliver all design elements to the programmer in layered Photoshop (.psd) files and associated fonts either via FTP or via email. Participant will facilitate communication between programmer and our managed hosting partners to accommodate any specific issues programmer has with development or production environments. The programmer must use our development environment to ensure continuity between development and publishing. Programmer is responsible for delivery and publishing of the final product on our production environment. All deliverables will be compliant with the following browsers: Windows IE6, Windows IE7, Windows & Mac Firefox 2+, and Safari 1.3+.

Participant will accept proposals for both fixed and time/materials’ engagements.
