This is Pam again---I needed to tell ya'll that about a month ago my laptop got really really HOT even when I took the battery out the computer was still really hot and it stayed hot for about an hour--then everything worked fine until a week ago when it comes on for about 2 minutes then screen goes black and its dead. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

by reading this post it might be not enough cooling or faulty mobo.
Try being more specific
