I have 2 specific problems with my Mum's computer that I am trying, so far unsuccessfully, to sort out.
We are getting the classic :
RUN DLL
Error loading C:\Windows\System32\bridge.dll
The specified module could not be found
and the following:
MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY
Program C:\Program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
abnormal program termination
I have used ad-aware 6.0 (latest) and AVG(fully up to date) which detected 46 entries. It healed or quarantined the majority, apart from lspak.dll. I used the lspakfix to enable me to delete the lspak.dll from the appropriate directory.
I have tried creating a regedit notepad file, as per:
-----------------
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run]
"RunDLL"=-
-------------
ie saving that as unbridge.reg and then double-clicking it to run it
No luck, the bridge.dll remains.
I have therefore just installed and run hijackthis.....the log is as follows, can anyone anywhere please help me to delete or fix or whatever the entries that are causing the hardships.
Thanks in advance
Windows XP (SP1)
AVG (up to date)
Ad-aware 6.0 (up to date)

Cheers buddy !
You know, I'd spent the past 4 hours this morning trying to sort this, googling etc.........the bridge dll error no longer comes up. As for the second error, which as far as my Mum is concerned is the major issue (seeing as she can't do her shopping !)........this is a bugger to try and sort.
Thanks ever so much for any help. PS - I have spent plenty of time perusing forums for the answers but I have had to bite the bullet and ask for help.
