Website basics

Hi there. I want to get a personal website going.

I made a google apps account, bought a website name off of enom.com, and got a hosting account at x10hosting.com

But I realised I am totally clueless about DNS settings, host settings, A (Address), CNAME, etc. Everytime I visit my website, I end up at the google apps main page when I want it to end up at my own page.

How do I figure the basics out? Here's what I know so far:

[Host] : [url] : [PUBLIC]

There's no reason to get into CNAME, A or any other details.

All you have to do is (if you havent already), contact enom.com and ask them to change your nameservers to:
NS1.X10HOSTING.COM NS2.X10HOSTING.COM

Which is your hosting company and it should do the trick.
