This is a simple site, nothing fancy. It describes Reiki and how it got started. I would appreciate any comments to maybe make it look better.

Thanks

Well, it is simple, maybe too simple. It looks as if it was done 10 years ago. The navigation in the sidebar looks like a collection of Word hyperlinks and the sidebar itself is too wide for its content. Your content management is seriously lacking too. You don't have much content in your homepage and you can easily reorganize it to fill in the screen of even a low resolution monitor, so that no scrolling down will be needed. It will contribute to a much better experience. Right now it looks empty, save for the AdSense adds, which need to go, too. Your footer is disproportionately big. I would spread the content and, possibly, eliminate some of it, in order to reduce its height. It should be no taller than a quarter of what it is now.

I hope my comments are helpful.

Well again, for the first site it is O.K. but not to be a commercially viable site. You need to center it and really think about what is it that you want to present there. Reiki is a such a rich subject, it deserves a rich web site.
