Hi all,
I have developed a site for my business - www.arcevia.com. I have listings in Google and Overture Pay Per Click but not very good conventional listings. I get clicks through PPC but got very few enquiries. To be honest this is a home business and I would have my telephone no. on there but I don't have a business phone no and am reluctant in giving out the home no. due to prank calls. I have included meta tags too. I'm not sure why I'm not getting conversions. The website has been online for one month now and I've submitted to search engines. I would be very grateful in receiving feedback. Please take a look at the site and let me know what you think. Thank you.

I like the layout of your site but the words are a bit small. Don't take offense as my eyes are not the greatest. It would be of a great help if you had a phone number on the site. It shows more creditability to your business. A business should always have a way to contact them. Have you ever been on a site and wanted to contact them but got frustrated because you could not find their phone number? If you don't want to put your phone number on the site maybe you could adjust your fax machine to accept both phone calls and faxes.
I took a look at your site. Here are my impressions of the site.
1. Google ads on right. Your site is a business site selling a service. It is very unprofessional to have ads on a professional site of this kind. Even worse you are promoting your competition on your own site!! Google ads work off your content. So since you have data entry, web maintenence, etc the ads are displaying links for companies that do the same thing! Not good.
2. Conflicting colors. The green and purple content boxes feel very out of place. White here would work well, perhaps even a gray. Take a look at a color wheel to see what colors work with each other.
3. Logo is a bit messy due to the high bevel effect. Bring that down a bit, or remove the bevel all together. The logo is one thing a person should never have to strain to read or see clearly.
Good luck with the business and site.

I'm probablly repeating, but:
1) I agree on the Google ads. Just see above.
2) Maybe the purple (and in my opinion, the green as well) would be happier as white or light grey...
3) The logo got me too...and it just seems the way the letters were formed is what makes it confusing.
4) Some of your text that you tried to make stand out on it's own in a box is feeling really constricted. Space things out a little bit.
5) Take a peek up at the top of your screen. You have keywords as the page titles. Keywords should be in META tags within the document and the title should be simple and reflecting the nature of the site.
Well, those are my ramblings (much similar to those exemplified by others). I too wish you good luck

Nice site design and layout.
I would try to keep fonts used on the site consistant throughout though.
Also the boxes used on the pages expand with the background image repeating.
The boxes are also too big when viewed in Firefox. This breaks up the table and shows gaps all over the place and makes the site look bad.
Other than that its an ok site. Somewhat sparce of visible information (without having to scroll within the little boxes).

Not so good - when i put my mouse under where the links are on html version i get the image toolbar. go to www.dynamicdrive.com. you might be able to find something to get rid of it.
