Where Can I Find Free Images?

I am currently using stock.xchng to find images that are free to use in web publishing.

Is there another good website that offers free images?

have a look at www.freeimages.co.uk, stockvault.net, photoeverywhere.com and cr103.com

most sites only give their images away in return for a link / attribution
also try searching for creative commons images at flickr.com (advanced search)

It also depends somewhat on what type of images you're looking for. For example, if you're looking for free paper textures, you can get them here. Or for free metal textures, here.

A lot of times what I do is I'll go on to Google Images, enter in the image I'm looking for, and then maybe add the term "royalty free".

Then there's iStockPhoto.com, which isn't free but is pretty close
