I want to know why this product i.e.,WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL SP2 had no chance to download Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Media Player 11. If there is any chance please suggest me. In this edition there is no automatic updates are available from the microsoft what should i do for this. During installation it is strange, that it never asked the license key.
But there is no virus effect,but the download gets freezed. Hope it would help you to solve my probs.

Because you didn't have to didn't have to put in a license and Microsoft update isn't working you may have a pirated copy of windows. You can go to the Microsoft website and search for it and download it manually from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en and media player 11 is http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Windows Updates will not run if the Genuine Advantage tool cannot determine that you are running a non-pirated copy of Windows.

If you purchased your copy from a retail store, it is possible they are selling pirated copies of Windows.
