I am in need of an experienced, freelance graphic designer to assist in enhancement of an existing Joomla 1.x CMS website in the northwest Chicago suburbs.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Solid track record of graphic design for commercial websites, supported by a portfolio of your work and recent references, is a must-have.

* Presentable, professional and able to communicate effectively in client meetings.

* Located in or easily able to travel to client site meetings in the northwest suburbs as needed (actual work will be performed at your own location).

* You must have your own computer and appropriate design software to perform the work.

* Familiarity with the Joomla 1.x CMS. An understanding of Joomla templating will be a big plus.

* Availability to begin work immediately.

Clearly you did not bother to read and understand the requirements in the description. Even if you were suitable for the project, the simple fact that you did not respond with the items requested is an indication of carelessness that would have removed you from consideration. I am an experienced computer engeneer living is St. Augustine. I am currenlty the head of IT at a Web Services Company, and oversee over 600 domains. These domains are running IIS 6.0 on 6 Microsoft Server Web Edition servers. We also host our own DNS, which is 1 Linux based DNS Server. I am also head programmer. I have written over 50 web based applications, including Calendars, Real Estate Engines, Members Only sections of websites, Shops, Content Management Systems, Blogs, Social Networks, . I am also highly experienced in CSS, and have some design skills as well, however, I am more of a programmer. Having CSS skills helps me able to skin any open source application that a company may be use too. Some examples of open source programming applications that I have experience skining are phpBB 3.0, wordpress. Both can be made to make the user look like he or she has not left the website. Cold Fusion is my strong language, that is because we use it at my current employment, however, I have a strong programming background, and can adapt to the language of choice.
