Vista Home Basic cannot join a domain, so if you have a domain at the office you won't be able to access things as easily as you could if you ran Vista Business or Ultimate.

hi all,
i am planning to buy a laptop with vista home basic preinstalled. Can i use it to connect to the server in my office? is there any network limitations in Vista home basic?
what exactly do u mean by domain join support ?
please you better go for the business edition if you really want to use it in your office.reason of using domain is more secure in a working settings.
i was using the home edition be4 but had to up grade to business so that i could work easily in my office. though it dependson your company policy.
BUT GO FOR BUSINESS EDITION. GOD BLESS
