This will in fact be the first step to creating a colourisation application. This will be a windows app which will break apart movie footage into seperate shots (I have the shot detection algorithm and some open souce code here which can be adapted) and then use a marking detection algorithm to identify a shape. The application will then adapt the shape over the course of the shot and create a luma pallette for greys used within the shape only, across the shot. The user can then add colours mapped to seperate grey shades.

This data needs to be stored in a SQL database and recyclable for later shots. The application needs to be intuitive.

As for payment, I'm afraid I have little to offer other than a credit on the work. However this is a remendous project to work on and may make an excellent HE or College computing project.

All code will remain open source and the developer forum to share.
