can anyone please briefly tell/ or provide a website step by step how I should setup a home server which i can store my files in my own pc? I have VMware which installed fedora 7 in it...
i signed up for a free domain name @ http://www.dyndns.com/about/home_solutions.html
i have installed fedora 7 in my pc's vmware along with my vista (bad thing is this pc is connected with wireless adapter) would this be a problem?

having it connected to a wire would be better. So are you running vista or fedora? I wouldn't try setting up a server that you want outside access to within the vmware. If your running windows try out wamp you can find it here: http://www.wampserver.com/en/
if you are running linux then try searching for LAMP installation tutorials there are tons out there.
hope this helps!
