Monitor display problem!

I have just got my computer back after the hardrive failed, since then the display doesn't fill the screen, it starts off about 5 cm from the left and runs over the right.

I have looked at the display settings and updated the drivers both of which don't solve the problem. If i chnage the resolution to the lowest possible, the screen fills perfectly although everything is far too large.

I have also put the monitor into another computer and this works fine so there is nothing wrong with the monitor itself.

Is there anything else i could do?

are you setting to the highest your monitor can handle or your card?

this could be the problem, maybe your setting the resolution higher then you mintor can handle.
An eye for an eye and the world would be blind.
