Ok, i have 2 computers on my network and only my computer is experiencing these problems.
About 2 days ago my main browser (Firefox) starting having problems. After restarting my computer numerous times the same thing happens. Firefox will open and find webpages for about 2-5 minutes and then it will just stop working. The same thing happens with Internet Explorer. I'm connected to AOL Instant Messenger the entire time and the other computer on my network stays connected so i know it has nothing to do with the internet connection.
I basically have the problem this guy mentioned but i don't even have the programs on my computer to delete that supposedly solved his problem.

I also have just found out that when i try to check my YahooMail E-Mails (new or old) none of them are displayed (it's just a blank white space).
Another thing i found while browsing through these forums before posting is this (Yes, i do have/use the free edition of Zone Alarm)-
The link supplied by this member did not work and disabling Zone Alarm doesn't have any affect. I haven't tried to find an update on their website yet because it's hard to do anything when my browser randomly stops displaying pages like it's disconnected from the internet.
I've noticed a bunch of other people with the same problems but i haven't found any solutions. Any suggestions?

Hi Ryan, I have read your post and it sounds exactly like the issue that I had earlier in the week but that I have now solved.
Are you by any chance running the Zone Alarm firewall?
MS released an XP update last week #KB951748 which causes ZA to block web access. Solution is to shutdown ZA, download the update from below and install/update your existing ZA installation. Link below:

Let me know if this helps.
Stephen

The problem IS from Zone Alarm. They now have an update/instructions to fix this- http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...cessIssue.html
I followed the-
1. Navigate to the "ZoneAlarm Firewall" panel
2. Click on the "Firewall" tab
3. Move the "Internet Zone" slider to medium
and this fixed my Yahoo E-Mail problems BUT it did not fix my internet problems.
When i try to install the update it tells me this-
