I finally solved the problem. I got an email from AOL that they have a new AOL version called AOL 9.0 SE. I downloaded this version and everything work fine now. I am able to access the secure sites I could not get to. It must have been an AOL problem all along. Thanks to everyone for their help.

I would recommend that anyone having problems with "Cannot Find Server or DNS Error" message and running AOL upgrade to this AOL 9.0 Security Version. It also includes free McAfee Viruscan but I opted to use Norton Antivirus.

This is actually a DNS issue. The AOL upgrade happens to fix it but if you don't have AOL (or don't want to upgrade), there is another way to fix it. It's called PageFix and it's free to try software from fixIEonline.com. Give it a shot, it worked for me. PageFix

I have aol security edition, and it did not fix the problem that I am having (exact same one) and after downloading the above mentioned program winzip could not open it.
