For those of you whose websites get significant traffic, I am wondering if there was one particular event that you consider to be a breakthrough? For example, was it a mention in a popular blog, in a community newspaper, radio, etc.

Having an award from one of the top webmasters forums... after this, I got tons of traffic..

Hi,
My website was ticking along not great numbers but ok then about 3 weeks ago the numbers jumped 100 fold for about two week. I have no idea what happened, it wasn't me. But for about two weeks if felt great then back to reality. Anyone got any idea how these things happen and how to sustain this level of activity?
