winsock.scr error message on every start up

Everytime i start my system i get the standard windows error message saying winsock.scr has encountered a problem etc. and every now and again my screen goes clear and everything that was open closes and a get three windowss error reports same as above. can anyone please help me resolve this for me.
Run onover to the viruses and spyware and other Nasties section of this fourm winsock.scr is a Nastie !!
