Why have my drives disappeared in Explorer?

Hi,

I have a Win XP 1.1hertz 512 ram with 40 gig hardrive. A few days ago I installed an additional 80 gig Maxtor drive, & everything had been working perfectly for a few days, but today I opened explorer to navagate to some files & it didnt display my D, E, & F dirve (CD burner, DVD burner, 80 ghig hardrive), yet it magically displays another drive labeled: DVD drive G:
The drives havent disappeared or stopped functioning, I can navaigate to them but i have to manually type in thier address in the explorer address bar.

IE: F:\Bobs files

If I open a program like MS Word, & try to open a file it wont list & let me access the D, E, F: drives. I dodnt know if this has anything to do with it, but I noticed when I installed the hardrive that my originall drive was a fat32 drive & the new one was an NTFS drive. Does anyone know what has happened or how I can fix this? Im a rookie at this stuff so anyone needs any info I listed my registry with a software called hijack this below:

Hi,

You have the right forum for your problem, but this isn't the forum in which to post HiajckThis logs; those belong in our "Spyware, viruses, and other nasties" forum. Although your HJT log does show a couple of possibly "unwanted guests", they most likely are not the root of your problem.

Sorry for the short response on my part, but hang in there- we'll get back to this with more info.

Please do not contact me by email or PM for help. We're all volunteers here, and only have so much free time to dedicate to our efforts.

However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.

No, it definitely won't, but rhino said (and the HJT log verifies):
