Is XP firewall enough?

I just got over many, many viruses by reinstalling XP. I have ZoneAlarm running and just found out I have my own firewall on XP that I could enable. So I did, but now I'm wondering if it works as well as ZoneAlarm and if I can uninstall it and get the same protection (if not better). I'm running Norton too. Thanks!
