Should we make a table for storing credit card?

We are developing an ecommerce website and wish to inquire whether it is better to store the credit card details in our db or to ask the visitor to feed in when he transacts?

Practically a Posting Shark
Best would be not to store them at all, and let a third party payment processor do that job (e.g. Paypal, Servebase). The rules for privacy are getting tougher and tougher (PCI Compliance), so if you don't store this data, you'll save a lot of work.
