Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with this problem I have. (I'm running XP) There's this "Search Assistant" thing on my toolbar and whenever I uncheck it... it comes back next startup.

I've tried deleting in My Programs directory but I couldn't find it, I used Spybot-S&D (with all updates) on it too and it didn't pick it up.

Thanks,

As this is definitely a malware issue, I've moved this thread to the appropriate forum.

j4s[p],

Have a read through these previous threads on some of the "Search Assistant"-related problems. Try some of the suggestions given and repost here if you have any questions:

Please do not contact me by email or PM for help. We're all volunteers here, and only have so much free time to dedicate to our efforts.

However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.
