machine/assembly language, syntax error

  #1
Nov 27th, 2004
How are machine language and assembly language similar? What is involved in translating a single assembly language instruction to a machine code instruction?
How informative are the snytax error messages of this compiler, as compared with those generated by the assembler? Why is the compiler so fussy about C++'s syntax?
