hi all, i am new and not very good with vista but i have been facing some vista problems, first of all, i dont know why, when one of my program goes into lock down, i could not get it to shut down. i tried everything like task manager and log off, it would then just lock down the whole pc. here is my pc spec
i have a thinkpad t400
intel core 2 duo t9600 2.80GHz, 4gb of memory, and 2 gb of turbo memory with a 320 5400rpm hdd. this is the os that came with the laptop so if someone can help me, that will be great.

also it takes my laptop about 1 minute to going hibernate. is that normal? it looks like it has completely shut down. so i am confused.

seems to be some kind of virus problem, have you tried scanning out your pc with some anti-virus software. Also can you post hijackthis log here so that someone might have a look at what could be the problem.
