i have made 2 websites.... ever... i have tinkered with html a lot more than that, but only two sites that have ever been public... people say they like my work, i myself am not sure

i script these sites by hand in html, i tried using frontpage, it didnt feel right, so i would like to know if you like the layout and design i put into it, just to see if i am heading in the right direction

I took a quick look at your site, it looks really cool, but I can't quite tell what it is for. The link you provided opens a page that reads "The Servers are down..." but the pics and layout is really good. Is this some sort of fantasy game site?

its a world of warcraft private server site, it was up for a while, its down for the time being due to inactivity, i just wanted an oppinion

As you said to give an honest feedback than here it is :

You need to work a lot on it as menu is not eye catching no hover state on menu. Nothing like interactivity in this navigation.

Im checking it in firefox and table border are looking there so you can also make border="0"

According to me you need to apply lot of thoughts on it and understand the color theory also.

Join some design communities and take inspiration from others. There are many design magazines, go through them.

I hope you will not take it otherwise as nothing personal just as you asked for an honest review.

I completely agree with innovativeatul ,.. The table boreders looks really unproffessional and same with the background image which you used . You may need to go for a better layout which contains a proper navigation ... Keep doing the modifications , you will come up with new new ideas .. All the best ..
