pop up virus?

i think my computer may have caught some sort of virus. Everytime i have internet explorer open, the continue to get a pop-up from a search site. i'll close it and then get it again, no matter what site im at. i've used my virus check, spyware and adware checks and nothing seems to get rid of it. if a hijack this log is needed please let me know. thanks

I had this one. This is from a Trojan Backdoor. This will instantly re-configure IEXPLORER to fit its needs. get

Aw Aware
Spybot Search and Distroy
Win Patroll
Norton Anti- Virus
And ZoneAlarm

well i tried to follow the link the best i could...im not the most computer smart person so i gave it my best try. i did spyware search and destroy, same with adware and used an online virus program. i also used the spywareblaster. so here is my hijack this log

Sure, but first you need to update your version of HijackThis.

Version 1.97.7 is old, and the current version (1.92.8) does a deeper/broader scan. Install the new version and post the log it generates.

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

O19 - User stylesheet: (file missing) (HKLM)



Now reboot into safe mode and delete the following files and folders if found .

C:\WINNT\system32\pc32.exe bg........delete file,,pc32.exe bg



to delete the above files and folder you will need to do the following
go to
Show hidden files & folders

"Fix Checked"...Reboot to SAFE mode to delete files
How to start computer in safe mode

reboot computer and post a new log
Linux boot cd http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html

That entry indicates that you had at least one instance of Internet Explorer running when you ran HijackThis. HJT can't fully perform all of its fixes while any instances of web browsers are running; please make sure to close IE entirely before fixing things with HijackThis.
