Strange problem

Hello Friends,
My Name is Viru,
I faced a strange problem,
my friend system is not displaying anything after start, A black screen is comming thats all
I tried in safe mode also but no result ,
and when i tried to format the C:\ drive,
The CD is also not able to run means no autorun is going on
please help me to solve the issue.

Almost sounds as if the computer is dead. Are there any lights showing on the back of the computer? Do you hear any beeps when attempting to boot up? Are you absolutely certain the monitor is working?
Can you get to the BIOS if you can do that you can change the boot order so that it will boot first to the CD.
There are various keys to use to access the BIOS depending on the BIOS supplier or Computer manufacturer

Thanks for giving reply but i tried all the things that u have told
1.The monitor is working properly
2.Booting process is going on
3.I changed the first boot device as a CD-Rom also
But the booting is not going on
and the monitor is not getting display after booting
please help me
