IDE for Java?

I'm thinking of moving to a mac, and thinking in advance I'm curious what the best way to develop Java programs is. The most obvious choice is Xcode but I've heard good and bad reviews on it. I can't try it in stores because they're afraid I'll use the power given by it to mess with their computers. So, Xcode or some other IDE made for macs?
I use XCode and I really enjoy it. I mostly program in C++ and I have no problems switching back and forth between Microsoft Visual Studio .NET in Windows and XCode on the mac - even when working with the same cpp files.
