Heres my problem. I have built a discussion board using a free place on the net. And to be honest it isnt really doing much in the way of traffic. I have been advised to do it properly and get a domain name and web space. So I just wanted to see what companys you would all reccomend. I had a look at eUKHOST and they seem alright so may fly with them in the new yr. Anyone got a better idea ?

Exceed hosting offer good plans. $6.99 a month for 1000 meg diskpace 15 gigabytes bw.

Depending on what registrar you use, popular TLD domain registrars cost between 8 - 16 dollars a year per domain.

Good luck with your community

Yahoo offers domain names now for less than $5/yr:

Also I would recommend doing a search on www.webhostingtalk.com, personally I would recommend someone like:
http://chronichosting.com/
I have only read good things about them.

Well, when you place files on the hard drive, they take up space, depending on the size of your website, it could take a large ammount of disk space, or a small ammount of disk space, you may want to select all the files of your website, right click -> goto properites -> and see how large they are, it should usually be recorded in MBytes under 'disk usage'. As far as bandwidth usage goes, this depends on 2 things really, how large your website is, and how much traffic you get, if you host files for download, the bandwidth usage can go by pretty quick, however I know several sites that operate on under 50 Gig for the month and have pretty good traffic. If you have any further questions, you can PM me and I'll try and find some links to help explain it better.
