Am I in the right place?

Got virus; Original notification program, xp2009antivirus, [I]was[I] the virus. After identifying this and deleting and repeating scanning and rebooting and deleting between rains in the forest I was informed malawarebyte program contained a trojan. Of course, I set my course in the destruction of this object. I have been well advised here and there, chased programs and virus around the digital loop and back, and upon landing here, a complete unprofessional in an IT forum, I am hoping someone can direct me.

As of now, the computer runs sloooooow...not saying much for this old system dial-up wireless in the jungle. It's become a process of scanning and logging on between electrical sources.

At this rate, something is bound to happen. Eventually. Here's a start, anyone know where to direct me? My hijacklog follows:

Welcome to DaniWeb LeoDragong,

Every second that you are running your computer, the Trojan Virus is corrupting your system files and registry.

It is highly recommended that you boot up your PC in "Safe Mode" and perform "System Restore".

Guide for Safe Mode:
http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

System Restore:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

Also, make sure you restore it 3 to 4 days before the virus was detected!

Please DON'T do a System Restore. This could restore any nasty that you have all ready removed. Leave the System Restore alone for now. We will take care of cleaning that out later.
System Restore is NEVER to be considered a way to remove an infection. An infection, depending on what it is, can embed itself onto various files on the computer and also make registry changes which cannot be fixed using System Restore. System Restore should not be counted on to REMOVE or disable anything, that is not it's purpose. System Restore does not replace the process of uninstalling a program. To completely remove the files installed by a program, INCLUDING Viruses, Trojans and Malware, you must ACTUALLY remove the program, whether it is a legitimate program you no longer want or some sort of infection. In Windows XP, files are backed up only from certain directories, it excludes any file types used for users' personal data files, such as documents, digital photographs, media files, e-mail, etc. It also excludes the monitored set of file types (.DLL, .EXE etc.)
System Restore is NOT the end all and be all of repair and should not be considered as such.

Here are the steps you need to follow.

First of all TURN OFF the Spybot TeaTimer as it can interfere with any fixes done.
To do this open the Spybot program. At the top click the Mode button and be certain Advanced Mode is selected. Then at the bottom left choose Tools. When that opens on the left you will see various buttons. Click the Resident Button. When that opens REMOVE the check mark from TeaTimer. Close the program. Also TURN OFF the following for until told to turn them back on;
Spyware Doctor
SUPERAntiSpyware
Update your AVG 8 program and then reboot the computer.

Please Download ATF-Cleaner.exe by Atribune (Windows XP, 2K, 2003 & Vista ONLY)

RUN ATF-Cleaner.exe.

-- Click on ATF-Cleaner to run it
-- Where it says Select Files To Delete, Check the Select All Option
-- Click Empty Selected > OK

If you use Firefox browser, do this also:

* Click Firefox at the top and choose Select All from the list.
* Click the Empty Selected button.
* NOTE : If you would like to keep your saved passwords, click No at the prompt.

Run a Full System Scan with your AVG 8. Allow it to fix or quarantine EVERYTHING found.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

* DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.

Reboot the computer.
Run a new HJT scan and post back here with that new log, the MBA-M log and if you can get a log from your AVG 8 scan please do so, if you cannot get a log from it just please note the names and locations of items fixed or quarantined with it.

you have conflicting programs on your computer -- i see avg, superantispyware, pctools, and spybot. having all of these running slows your computer down. like the previous post said, boot to safe mode and then remove all the contents of your temp folders - try ccleaner - then run a comlete scan with malwarebytes' antimalware
