Hi

i have had the go.google virus for a few days now and i have tried to download the "anti-malware" and "superantispyware" and various others, however some of them do install, yet none of them actually run!! I cannot update norton 360 as the page has the 404 Error and cannot install Avast!

malware - which i read is the best one for go.google doesn't even install!!!

below is a hijack this copy. I use XP home, on IE.

any help would be appreciated!!

OK,

Pls boot into safe mode, by hitting F8 repeatly while windows is loading.... and run Malware Bytes.... and then boot back into normal and post the log.

Along with a fresh hijackthis log (run hijackthis in normal mode after running Malware)

No, most likely not.....

it is fixable, Crunchie might be able to provide another program to use..

But i do suggest to run Spybot Search & Destory... and if that works.

You might try the information given HERE as posted by idtpjules in post #14 in THIS THREAD
Can't guarantee it but follow the directions exactly and then see if you can download, install, update, run and fix with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

try renaming the software after you download it .. i.e. hijackthis.exe to hjt.exe
